My Dad had one in the early 70s. A beautiful cherry red with a straight 6 motor and 3 speed auto box. It made no problem of towing a big 6 birth caravan. I think it was a 3.6L motor? This was in South Africa.
VERY nice. The first car I remember my parents buying was a XT Falcon 500. Then a XY Falcon 500, then a ZG Fairlane; but the XT was kept as a ‘runabout’ until eventually traded in on a XE Ute. Great looking cruiser! 👌

Nice car but correct me if I’m wrong but as far as know cars painted all one colour were Belmonts. We had a green with white roof in a wagon HT with a speaker in the back and a knob in the dash to turn it on and off. Wish I still had it be like second Super pay out.
My grandfather had the same model in the same colour. Could be the same car, except his became the worst rust bucket of all time and was scrapped in ‘93

After a good chat and sending through a heap of photos he decided to jump on a plane from sunny QLD to come and do a deal.
