Our Cracking Barbados Green Torana flew the coop today to say we’ll miss this car is an understatement. When the new owner approached us looking for a Torana we were in the middle of doing a deal on purchasing this one. As soon as he saw it he was sold and it was in out for us. Brenda’s not your average grandmother. Today along side with son Matt she drove down from Shepparton and sealed the deal on this awesome 500HP HG.
This isn’t her first cool car either Brenda’s first car was an RX4 Rotary and she’s always loved Holdens as her dad had a Kingswood back in the day.
Brenda wasn’t stuffing around either. They took the car then and there and drove the 2 1/2 hours home. She was looking forward to taking the grandkids for a spin.

I had one of those babies, probably one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever owned.
The Caprice was an international class car. It had prestige and class.
Ooh yeah! Very comfortable and quite quick, and because it has in iron-block V8 and a carburettor, you can fit 'em with LP gas, with very little diminution in performance. I only sold mine because I had bought a Mercedes 450 SEL, which was an even better limo and country car. They both towed a caravan very well.

My Dad had one in the early 70s. A beautiful cherry red with a straight 6 motor and 3 speed auto box. It made no problem of towing a big 6 birth caravan. I think it was a 3.6L motor? This was in South Africa.
VERY nice. The first car I remember my parents buying was a XT Falcon 500. Then a XY Falcon 500, then a ZG Fairlane; but the XT was kept as a ‘runabout’ until eventually traded in on a XE Ute. Great looking cruiser! 👌

Lucky bugger, don't see many 65 Fairmonts around. . . The only thing I wished Ford have had done was to put some sort of console- coffee holder or something in the middle of the seats….. However I wish the new owner all the best.💙👍 🇦🇺

Nice cars Owned a white XP Fairmont sedan blue interior. Lovely cruiser. Also a XP Falcon base model both autos, pleasure to drive and comfortable especially the Fairmont. Good luck with the sale and to the lucky buyer.
And looks like it may have a 200 motor plus 14 inch wheels. Certainly looks great and very good value. Hope it’s as good as it looks
